Trail heads
Silkeborg Trailcenter
Trailcenter, located at Vejlsøvej 9, 8600 Silkeborg, is the ideal starting point for your trip on the trail. The center is open every day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and offers facilities such as changing rooms, toilets and a spacious living room - perfect for both preparation and relaxation before or after your trip. From the trailcenter, it is about 900 meters to the start of the blue trail in Vesterskoven, so you are quickly on the route and ready to tackle the challenges of the forest.
Gjessøvej
If you are arriving from the west – either from Silkeborg or Gjessø – you will find three possible trailheads along Gjessøvej, as shown on the map. At the southernmost of the three entrances there is access to drinking water during the summer months, and the place also offers a table and bench set where you can take a break before or after the trip.
